Background:

The Business Process Expert (BPE) MAKE is a key member of the functional workstream and is empowered to speak on behalf of the local manufacturing organization. This role represents the workstream’s subject matter experts (SMEs) in the interaction with the broader ASPIRE program. In collaboration with the respective Main Functional Contact (MFC) the local Business Process Expert has the overall accountability for the successful regional / local deployment of their respective functional area. This role will be responsible for a wide range of deliverables of activities commencing with local Fit-Gap preparation and culminating with cutover.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Member of the local and global Business Process Manager community and network
  • Uses various methods to discover, model, analyze, measure, improve, optimize and automate business processes
  • Continuously improving process excellence by having simple, fast and agile business processes
  • Leverages lean & digital mindset in organization
  • Supports development, implementation and monitoring of site goals and KPI’s
  • Supporting the organization by various reporting activities including RCA and subsequent action taking
  • Data analysis
  • Managing relevant business processes and maps them accordingly
  • Representing the business area in the ASPIRE project
  • Supporting on alignment and prioritization of critical requirements, clarification of process and design related questions and issues

Tasks & Responsibilities: (in ASPIRE functional deployment workstreams)

  • Ensure successful implementation, actively contribute to Change Impact Assessments, System Impact Assessments, remediation actions, training etc.
  • Collaborate with the MFC (Main Functional Contact) who leads the relevant workstream in managing all workstream activities
  • Lead the relevant local SOP assessments and subsequent retire/update
  • Embrace the change and act as a change agent for own functional and with key partner workstreams shared processes to ensure successful system implementation.
  • Liaise with the local Deployment Lead, who is leading the local ASPIRE team, to stay aligned at site level
  • Actively participate in the local ASPIRE team meetings and inform the Team members on current activities in the respective workstream
  • Participate in the local fit-gap for their function and be accountable for maximizing Template adoption and minimizing localization or developments
  • Conceptual design of new ASPIRE processes in collaboration with related ASPIRE Stream, global BCO, local Deployment Team, MFC and SMEs.
  • Use Case definition and preparation of data and systems for prototyping and testing
  • Responsible for helping to organize Site Localization / Site UAT / Site System Readiness / Site Preparation, Training, SOP in their respective workstream
  • Consulted on Design & Review Technical Specifications
  • Participate in data cleansing and data migration, mapping, transformation and defect resolution.
  • Participate in cutover, in any rehearsals and hypercare as required
  • Consulted on User Acceptance Test cases and execution of UATs
  • Support data cleansing and migration

Key Relationships:

  • Local and global deployment teams

Accountabilities:

  • Support site localization, UAT, site system readiness, site preparation, training, and SOP activities
  • Review L4 process and user requirements for site/function
  • Analyze process and design impact & identify roadblocks and long lead items
  • Consulted on design & review of technical specifications
  • Define use cases and prepare data and systems for prototyping and testing
  • Consulted on UAT and DET test cases
  • Support data cleansing and migration
  • Support change management activities

Must haves:

  • Vocational degree in Pharma Manufacturing, Master degree is preferred
  • Min. 5 years experience working within a global manufacturing environment in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Solid knowledge in SAP ERP
  • Demonstrated delivery focus and execution
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, to quickly establish rapport, and achieve results with and through others at all levels within the organization
  • Fluent English and German language skills both written & spoken (min. C2)
  • Ability to flex and navigate a complex, broad and diverse organization
  • Comfortable when dealing with uncertainty
  • Able to lead without direct authority, superior problem solving skills, strong time and self-management skills, outstanding facilitation and presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to rapidly analyze data and identify issues and risks

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with the implementation of large scale projects a plus
  • Knowledge in SAP EWM and MES as well as other integrated systems preferred
  • Good knowledge of cultural differences and the impact of this on communication and working styles
